Drexel H. Foundation
The Drexel H. Foundation was organized in 1991 when demolition to the Vale Hotel and Grand Opera House was threatened. Both buildings are on the National Register of Historic places, and much effort and activism took place in the community to save these buildings. The name Drexel came from the original name of the Vale Hotel, i.e. the Drexel Hotel. The Drexel H. Foundation's goal is to create an art center for the community to enjoy cultural events and implement art programs to help at-risk youth. Our motto is, "of your personal strength you can accomplish anything."
